6. PVC Pipe Handle and Long-Handle Tool Organizer

6
PVC pipe makes an inexpensive and durable long-handled tool organizer. Cut sections of wide PVC pipe to about 12 to 18 inches long, then mount them vertically or at a slight angle on a shed wall. Slide rake, broom, shovel, and hoe handles into the pipes so the heads rest above. Use pipe straps or U-brackets to secure each section. You can also cap the bottom of each pipe to prevent handles from slipping through. For a cleaner look, paint the PVC to match your shed. This DIY garden tool rack keeps long-handled tools separated, which reduces tangles and damaged blades. It also gets tools off the floor, making sweeping and storage easier. Install the lowest pipe at a comfortable height, and leave enough clearance above for tool heads. This system works well in narrow sheds where wall space is limited.
