7. Repurposed Wooden Ladder as Wreath Storage

7
An old wooden ladder does double duty as storage and display, which makes it a favorite for anyone who likes decor that earns its keep. Lean it against a wall in a spare room, craft space, or wide hallway, and drape one wreath over each rung.

Flea markets, estate sales, and curb finds supply these cheaply, and a coat of chalk paint or a light sanding refreshes them fast. If the ladder is wobbly, secure it to the wall with a simple bracket or a strap so it can’t tip. Space the wreaths so they don’t overlap, and turn the prettiest one outward — this setup is meant to be seen, not hidden.

Because the wreaths are visible, this works best for a curated rotation: keep the current season plus one upcoming season on the ladder, and store the rest elsewhere. It also solves the “out of sight, out of mind” problem that plagues bin storage. You’ll actually remember what you own.

A word of caution for households with small children or climbing pets: a leaning ladder is an invitation. Anchor it firmly or save this idea for a room that stays closed.
